Man United Get Injury Boost as Martial, Fellaini and Dalot Return to Training

Ahead of Saturday’s Premier League fixture at home versus Crystal Palace, Manchester United are sweating on the fitness of several key players (as we detailed yesterday). On Tuesday, they received a pretty nice fitness boost for the upcoming match with Anthony Martial, Marouane Fellaini and Diogo Dalot all resumed training with the club.

Martial is especially critical, as he’s been crucial to any success United have had in the attacking third lately. When Martial withdrew from the France squad last week due to fitness concerns, United fans had started to worry, but it looks like he’ll be good to go this weekend.

As for Dalot, the summer transfer window addition is now back in full training, having recovered from an injury that was never specified. He’s been out of action since September.

Fellaini, like Martial, missed international duty this week and the last, but we know now that he’s full go.

The Tuesday United training session was newsworthy for a couple more reasons.

Singing superstar and United super-fan Anne-Marie was on hand, as she has a show in town tonight.

Also on hand was United’s new signing, 20-year-old goalkeeper Paul Woolston. United were able to sign the former Newcastle man outside of the transfer window because he was a free agent at the time. There was no official announcement or unveiling by the club, no cliche smiling player at a desk signing a contract photo.

So consider this the official Woolston arrival moment.
