The biggest football clubs in the world love to have training camps and play preseason friendlies in the United States.

It’s great for everyone involved as the clubs get a guaranteed cash cow from the world’s most dominant consumer market, the American sports sphere has something more to be interested in during what is the biggest dead zone on the calendar, and fans gets a very rare opportunity to see the teams and star players they love.

One star man who won’t be making the trip across the pond this time is Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino.

“Bobby will be in for the second camp,” Reds manager Jurgen Klopp told Liverpool FC.com.

“Then we have the English guys [and] Simon [Mignolet] and Dejan [Lovren] will come another week later. We’ll already be back from France and will have exactly one week to prepare [for] the game. That’s no problem.”

Firmino isn’t hurt, he’s just going on holiday after an extended tour of duty with Brazil in the 2018 World Cup. Firmino’s Brazilian side made it to the final eight, where they were eliminated by Belgium.
