Match-up wise, AS Roma are the best draw that Liverpool could have hoped for in the UEFA Champions League semifinals. Sure, all of the other three remaining sides were hoping for Roma (you’ve seen the memes), but that doesn’t mean this will be easy for the Reds- not by any means.
The Italian stallions won 3-0 at home to progress 4-4 on away goals against what had been the tournament favorite, Barcelona. It showed the world how the attack-minded Giallorossi fear nobody in Europe.
That includes the newly minted PFA Player of the Year, Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, who they obviously know quite well.
