Marcos Rojo Will Return to Action in Two Weeks Says Jose Mourinho

When Marcos Rojo was surprisingly a part of the Manchester United travel squad to Lisbon, Portugal, speculation that he could feature tonight in the Champions League group stage clash at Benfica began. Then came yesterday’s press conference with manager Jose Mourinho, in which he refused to disclose any information at all about roster injury and fitness.

So when would we get an update about Rojo?

If he’s not going to play, then why exactly is he with the team now?

As is the case with most sports teams these days, the manager revealed actual news not in the genuine news conference, but instead on the website controlled by the team.

Mourinho told MUTV: “Rojo is not coming to play but he is coming with the team to train with the group.

“I would say probably in two weeks Marcos is ready to play.”

Thus it seems Marcos Rojo will be ready when United head to Chelsea on November 5, the match that Mourinho has had circled on the calendar all year long.
