The very first summer transfer window addition for Manchester United, defender Victor Lindelof, still hasn’t featured in a Premier League match, despite being fully fit. Since the 2-1 UEFA Super Cup loss to Real Madrid, he’s only made three appearances.

United Manager Jose Mourinho has said that the £31 million signing from Benfica is being eased into the squad gradually over time. Lindelof says he’s not worried at all about his lack of playing time.

He told Swedish outlet Expressen: “I feel no stress. I’m in one of the world’s best clubs, it’s clear that it’s tough competition. But it may have the time it takes.”

When queried about his relationship with Mourinho, the Swede said everything is fine between the two: “It’s between me and him. But we talk and have a good dialogue.”

Lindelof has received a lot of criticism for his form in the preseason, and he was ssked whether he reads what the British newspapers write about him.”Why would I do that?” Lindelof responded.

“I do not care what they are writing. I do not even know what they are writing.”

The comments are a re-affirmation or doubling down on what he said a little less than a month ago.
