Here are some of the more interesting Manchester United news and transfer rumor stories currently circulating amidst the Twitterverse, blogosphere, cyberspace and media world. Sure, the silly season that is the January transfer window is certainly not the summer transfer window, when all the action happens, but what can you do?

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, who you can watch in Jesse Lingard’s Dab Academy video at this link, was sent out on loan this summer to Wolverhampton Wolves. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out, as CBJ, who is very highly thought of at Old Trafford, has been frozen out.

The young defender made just six appearances, and none since early November for Wolverhampton. Now United will end his loan spell, according to the Telegraph.

The same publication also points out that back-up goalkeeper Sam Johnstone will now go on loan to Aston Villa, who beat out Sunderland for his services.

The Telegraph reported last month how United manager Jose Mourinho rejected a bid from Wolves to sign goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on loan after being unhappy at the treatment of Borthwick-Jackson.

Elsewhere it looks like Morgan Schneiderlin might be staying put as apparently United aren’t receiving any offers in line with their asking price (More on that here).

Also it appears that Memphis Depay could be sticking around to the end of the season too (More on that here).
