Man United at Leicester City Injury Report: Martial, Rojo, Fellaini, Amarety

anthony martial

Now comes the time to really see if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the right man for the Manchester United job or not. Obviously they were going to drop points eventually, and the important question to be answered here is- how will Solskjaer get his team to respond to it? Inevitably, his side will lose a game as well, and it will be telling to see how they react and recover to that.

United rallied back late from 2-0 deficit at home against Burnley in midweek, salvaging a draw and a point in injury time. Now they head to the King Power Stadium to take on a Leicester City side that seem to rise up against the big boys. The Foxes will head into this fixture brimming with confidence, having just earned a point against table toppers Liverpool in mid-week.

Chelsea FC Starting XI Prediction, Team News, Injury Report vs Huddersfield Town

chelsea fc

For Maurizio Sarri and his Chelsea side, the very next match is the easiest Premier League fixture of all, at least on paper. They’ll host Huddersfield Town, the absolute bottom side and a near lock to be relegated, on the weekend. It’s the perfect match to be preparing for right now, given the disaster that unfolded yesterday at the Vitality Stadium.

Chelsea went into the half at Bournemouth knotted up in a goalless stalemate. They then surrendered four goals in the second half, the most conceded in a half of Premier League competition since 1996. Afterward, Sarri spoke to his team for almost an hour, before then doing his mandatory media availability. What’s really unique though is how he met with his players without the presence of his backroom staff.

patriots logo

If you’re a New England Patriots fan, then you are currently living in a golden age that doesn’t show any sign of ceasing any time soon. However, if you follow any of the other 31 NFL teams, and you read this website, you’ve almost certainly grown fatigued of the Patriots by this point.

The Pats will face off against the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII on Sunday, marking their fourth trip in the last five years and 10th in the last 17. Under the ownership of Bob Kraft, the New England Patriots have won 18 division titles, 10 conference titles, and five Super Bowl championships – more than any other team over the last 25 years.

Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction vs Newcastle United

When Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has spoken to the media lately, he’s gotten away from the industry standard platitudes and coachspeak. He’s been welcomingly candid, and sometimes unfairly criticized for being so. Today will see the end of the third straight transfer window in which Tottenham has not added a single new player.

For Pochettino, it must be difficult to be so hamstrung by a board that won’t allocate any funds for beefing up the roster. Pochettino recently admitted that his club just can’t compete financially with Liverpool, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Tottenham vs Newcastle Injury Report: Kane, Alli, Davies, Dummett, Shelvey, Diame, Joselu

dele alli

Newcastle United head to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in a match-up of two sides that are very injury riddled, but still feeling pretty confident. For Newcastle, they were the lead story of the day in the football world on Tuesday as they upset reigning league champions Manchester City.

For Tottenham, they were able to take care of a pretty good Watford side in midweek, despite being without their biggest of guns. Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has a taken a refreshingly honest approach to his recent media opportunities, making blunt comments about the club’s competitive priorities and the competitive disadvantage they face when juxtaposed against Liverpool and Manchester City.

anthony martial

Happy January transfer window deadline day, football fans. While Manchester United have not signed a single player this transfer window, and aren’t linked to adding anyone before the deadline hits tonight, they did make a major announcement regarding their player roster today.

It’s an own goal of sorts, as they extended the contract of talented and stellar young forward Anthony Martial. The 23-year-old Frenchman sees his new deal keeping him at the club until 2024; with a club option to add another year on top of that. Martial, who had been very publicly considering leaving Old Trafford this past summer, has now done a total u-turn. Once again he’s loving life at MUFC.

Maurizio Sarri Admits He Has No Answers for Chelsea Disaster at Bournemouth

maurizio sarri

The midweek Premier League action that took place over the past couple of days has certainly brought some eye-catching results. Newcastle United beating Manchester City Tuesday night was a shock. The way that Chelsea fell at AFC Bournemouth, 4-0 tonight, was perhaps even more surprising.

Chelsea surrendered all four goals in the second half, the most they have conceded in one half of Premier League action since 1996. Then came an unusual and unorthodox move by Blues boss Maurizio Sarri. He spoke to his team for almost an hour, before then doing his mandatory media availability; and he spoke to them without the presence of his backroom staff.

New U.S. Betting Markets Will Keep Super Bowl 53 “Interesting” for Many

super bowl liii

You know the old catch-phrase: “care to make things interesting?” It’s what you say when you’re asking someone to bet against you on something. In recent years, we’ve seen a major shift in the interests of NFL consumers. More football watchers are becoming fans of their own fantasy teams and/or whatever team they’ve wagered on.

It keeps things engaged when the team they support is irrelevant. Super Bowl LIII, or Super Bowl 53, is poised to be the perfect game to test this theory. The New England Patriots are in the NFL championship game for the fourth time in five years and 10th of the last 17. The familiarity is breeding contempt as fans are tired of seeing the same side over and over and over and over again.

Purdue Boilermakers NCAAs Resume Update After Michigan State Win

In their shocking 73-63 upset of #6 Michigan State Sunday, the unranked Purdue Boilermakers ended MSU’s 13 game win streak, as well as their bid for the first 10-0 Big Ten start in school history. This past weekend’s loss also saw State trail by their largest margin (23) in any game this season, before an epic fake rally window dressed the score quite a bit.

Purdue also held Sparty to their lowest point total in a half since 2004 and ended State’s 21 game conference win streak. So now with this blockbuster win under their belt, where do the Purdue Boilermakers stand in terms of season profile/postseason projection?

United Midfielder Marouane Fellaini Agrees to Personal Terms with Chinese Club

Marouane Fellaini, a polarizing figure to say the least, has reportedly agreed to personal terms to join Chinese club Shandong Luneng, according to the BBC. While the England transfer window ends on Thursday, the Chinese transfer window is open until February 28, so there is still plenty of time to get this deal ironed out.

While many outlets, especially this time of year, can lack trustworthiness, Simon Stone is among the best in the business, and the BBC is about as close as it gets to a report being deemed official. Stone’s report says that United have refused to comment on whether or not a transfer fee has been agreed upon however.
