A couple days ago, Philippe Coutinho, arguably the best individual player that Liverpool has, made headlines by expressing his side’s Premier League title dreams. Earlier this week, Coutinho said that Liverpool should have league title dreams.
Unfortunately, those dreams took a big hit today with Coutinho suffering a very serious injury that provided a very scary moment.

Coutinho had to be stretchered off, and was later seen resting on crutches. After the game, Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp gave the following update.
“We have to wait for the scan,” the LFC boss said. “In this moment is it something with the ankle. That’s it. We all have to wait.”
“He had pain. It was very painful in the first moment, but when I saw him at half-time he said the pain was much better.
“But we have to wait. If I have no idea what it is then I can’t imagine how long it will be. I’m quite an optimistic guy, so I hope he can train tomorrow!”
Given how how substantial the injury appeared, we can probably safely assume that Coutinho won’t be training tomorrow. However, you just gotta love the German’s optimism there. Liverpool went on to beat Sunderland 2-0 today.
