This is one of the worst lies I’ve seen in a press release in quite some time.
And believe me, that’s really saying something because I receive like two or three dozen press releases every single weekday. And a few more on the weekends. The Crimson Tide sent this release out to their media, and posted the same offering on the Alabama Crimson Tide official website, in their game recap story:
” The Alabama defense overcame a shaky start to contain A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel for much of the game”
“CONTAIN??”
He had 464 yards passing, 5 TDs, his team scored 42 points and the Aggies had 628 yards of total offense. That total is the most EVER versus Crimson Tide football. EVER.
They’ve been playing football at Alabama since 1892. The Crimson Tide have taken the field almost 1,200 times. And Manziel led an offense that more yardage on them than anyone ever. (Previous record was LSU 2011)
Wow, this statement is pretty much insulting to our intelligence.
