How To Be Taken Seriously As A Soccer Fan In The US

Generally speaking, soccer fans in the US get a lot of stick. Most of it stems from the fact they call it ‘soccer’ instead of ‘football.’ What fans back in Europe don’t seem to understand is that American Football is the number one sport over here. Of course, we don’t call it ‘American’ football, it’s just ‘football’ to us Americans.

So, if everyone started calling soccer ‘football’ as well, everyone would be confused! We don’t use the term soccer because we don’t respect the game or understand its history, it’s purely out of convenience.

james milner

Liverpool really need “all hands on deck” right now because the club is without a few key players during the final push of this BPL season. James Milner, a versatile player who can fit in on the wing, midfielder and the back line if needs be, maintains that the Reds must continue to push on and fight for a top four finish, in spite of all the injury setbacks.

He also said that he will literally be sick if the club fails to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Manchester United Have Put All Their Eggs in Europa League Basket

Jose Mourinho has certainly made his decision and ultimate goals clear now. Actions speak louder than words, and today’s 2-0 defeat at Arsenal is a result that says a lot. Mourinho has prioritized winning the UEFA Europa League over finishing in the English Premier League top four at the end of the season.

That’s the preferred route back until UEFA Champions League for Mourinho and United, and on paper it most likely seems the easier path.

Jurgen Klopp Says Southampton Draw is “not the end of the world”

jurgen klopp

Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp said his side’s inability to finish “made life not easy” in their 1-1 draw with Southampton. Klopp also said the result is “not exactly what they wanted” but also “not the end of the world” when it comes to meeting their ultimate goals for the season.

Getting one point, instead of three, obviously makes the race for the top four much more tight down the stretch. The Reds remain in third place, one ahead of fourth place Manchester City (who have a game in hand on Liverpool) and five ahead of Manchester United (who also have a game in hand on Liverpool).

Brendan Rodgers and Mario Balotelli Continue Feuding Post Liverpool FC

You could say the Liverpool gamble on Mario Balotelli didn’t quite work out. That would be the understatement of all understatements.

A £16 million purchase made by then manager Brendan Rodgers, Balotelli scored just one league goal during the entire season that he was at Anfield. Liverpool then sent him on loan to AC Milan, and that ended up a disaster as well.
