Emre Can Elicited a Very Colorful Reaction on Twitter Today

The embattled Emre Can scored the game-winner for Liverpool FC today as the Reds beat lowly Burnley 2-1 at home today. Although it sounds weird to say that a win over the lowly Clarets is a big deal, today was actually very meaningful because it breaks from the pattern we’ve seen with Liverpool- that of beating the top six, losing to the lower table.

Many Reds supporters entered Sunday marking this one down as a loss, and that’s understandable given how this season has gone.

Of course, Liverpool still struggled in this one, and were very fortunate to get all three points from this one. Clearly, the Reds were beneficiaries of the Matthew Lowton miss.

Jurgen Klopp to his Critics: “Yes, we do have a plan B”

Against the top six in the Premier League, Liverpool is beyond elite. They are a treble winning level side when they take on the best clubs. However, when the Reds takes on the lower table sides, they look like relegation fodder; or worse.

Liverpool lost to Burnley, a team not too far above the group hovering around that relegation zone, at the Turf Moor back in August. With the rematch looming Sunday, you can’t help but think they could stumble again; especially since they just crushed Arsenal.

Liverpool FC Paid £15.7m to Dismiss Brendan Rodgers and his Coaching Staff

Liverpool Football Club and John W. Henry have very deep pockets, so they can afford to give their sacked managers a really nice parachute, if the situation requires.
