Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says that his striker and young franchise cornerstone Harry Kane is off the market. He is completely unavailable; no matter how much money you are willing to throw White Hart Lane’s way for the chance to acquire his services. This is non-negotiable.

“There is no price. No one can buy him,” Pochettino said.

“He is not for sale. There is not a value because it is impossible to put a price.”

Kane has been involved in transfer rumors here and there, but for the most part he’s only been linked consistently to one club- Manchester United.

Of course, a lot of that story was more smoke than fire, as it later became clear that the narrative was being driven largely by one television pundit seeking to gain attention upon himself. You got to love the passion Pochettino is showing there for his young scoring sensation, who’s helped to lead Spurs to a place in the current top four.

Harry Kane started slowly this season, going eight games without a goal. However, he scored twice on Boxing Day, upping his season total to 11. He now has 27 in total for the calendar year of 2015; proving that he was certainly not a one year wonder in 2014-15.

If Spurs are to escape their recent Europa League middling mediocrity and become a staple in UEFA Champions League moving forward, it seems clear that Harry Kane will be a part of that. Harry Kane had a trial at Watford before he joined Spurs, with the two sides going head to head on Monday.
