Both the Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks franchise QBs are set to get new contracts. And they are in line to get PAID.
RIP “Jay Cutler is the highest paid player in the NFL” narrative, and good riddance. Both Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck are headed north of #CuttyDoesIt money.
Yes, ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Adam Schefter, was gracious enough to give me a few minutes of his time tim to talk Chicago Bears and NFL news. (Here’s Schefter’s assessment of Peyton Manning’s future)
The podcast of our exclusive conversation is below.
“Both Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck are in a situation where both of their contracts are both eligible to be re-done. I think both Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck get deals done and depending on how that Super Bowl goes, maybe even not depending on how that Super Bowl goes, Russell Wilson will make more north of $20 million a year and Andrew Luck will make close to $25 million a year,” said Schefter.
“Some would say that Russell Wilson deserves more than Andrew Luck, and if he wins that second straight Super Bowl you could certainly make that argument. So we’ll see how that shakes out, but I think both will get fat, lucrative, new contract extensions at some point this offseason,” he concluded.
So there you go, both Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson be soon become PAID IN FULL.
By the way here’s what Schefter had to say about Jay Cutler’s future in Chicago. And also his take on the John Fox and Ryan Pace hires.
