(Breaking: Penn State Athletic Director Tim Curley and Vice President Gary Schultz will step down while they defend themselves on charges of perjury)
Very disturbing, scandalous and unhappy news out of Happy Valley today. The Penn State football team is on bye this week; but their program is making bigger headlines than on any given autumn Saturday.
Yesterday, it was announced that former Nittany Lions Defensive Coordinator Jerry Sandusky was indicted on charges that he sexually abused eight young men. He was arrested Saturday.

Also, Penn State athletic director Tim Curley and Penn State vice president for finance and business Gary Schultz are expected to leave State College and go to the state capitol of Harrisburg on Monday. They are facing charges of perjury and failure to report under Pennsylvania’s child protective services law in connection with the investigation into the abuse allegations against Sandusky.
