Madonna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Included Singer Flicking You Off (Video)

mia

Madonna put on an impressive set for the Super Bowl 46 halftime show. There was both a Roman and Egyptian theme (so it was like Caesar’s Palace and the Luxor) with her costume changes for the visual aesthetic. And she included her classic hits “Like a Prayer,” “Vogue” and “Music” among her auditory aesthetic. But it was a show that both the NFL and NBC are apologizing for today. Yes, just like in 2004.

Last night, the 53-year-old singer once known for very risque outfits did not have a wardrobe malfunction, nothing like the glimpse of Janet Jackson’s nipple eight years ago that caused an uproar. It wasn’t even Madonna’s fault at all. Instead, it was an extended middle finger from British singer M.I.A. during the performance of Madonna’s new single, “Give Me All Your Luvin.”

M.I.A. flicked off NBC’s 110 million viewers and appeared to sing, “I don’t give a (expletive)” at one point, though it’s hard to hear her or read her lips effectively..

Super Bowl 46 drinking game

patriots cheerleaders hot

One of my favorite articles to write every year is the annual NCAA Tournament Championship Drinking Game. Here are the three we have done in case you missed them; 2009 Michigan State vs. North Carolina version, 2010’s Butler vs. Duke game, and this past season’s Butler vs. UConn Drinking Game.  I even did a NBA Draft drinking game last summer.

I figured since I have zero rooting interest in Super Bowl 46 between the New England Patriots and New York Giants, that I would create a drinking game to keep myself, and those who could care less about the outcome of the game, thoroughly entertained.

Our lawyer insists we add the following: The Sports Bank is not responsible for anyone dumb enough to actually try this and the harm to his/her body that would certainly occur if this game was played.  If you are idiotic enough to attempt keeping pace with this game, please have your local emergency room on stand-by and do not drink and drive.  Thank you.

New England in Super Bowl 2012: Our Most Popular Patriots Stories

rob gronkowski

Final score: New England 23, Baltimore 20. My prediction in my game preview: NE 24, Bal 21. Not bad!

The New England Patriots are set to take on the New York Giants in the Super Bowl 2012, or Super Bowl 46. They’ll do it in the house of their arch-nemesis, Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. What a fine venue- and storyline for this ’07 Super Bowl rematch. Lots of our Pats stories have blown up this past year, so I’d figure I’d compile them in one spot to re-run them for our new readers; and those who missed it the first time.

Rob Gronkowski, a big, fast second year tight end out of Arizona. He’s redefined the TE position this year through his play, breaking all the records you could ask. And off the field you must take a trip to Gronk Nation. It’s a land that includes posing for risque pics with porn star Bibi Jones while she wears his jersey, or shirtlessly tweeting pics with large phallic symbols to supermodel Kate Upton.

Tom Brady has a number one option in Wes Welker, the greatest slot receiver in NFL history. Michael Irvin called him the best receiver in the game right now. The numbers back that up. And he inspired a great parody song. “Moves like Welker, moves like Welker, moooooooooooooooves like Welker.” Watch it here.

Super Bowl 2012 Early Favorite: Patriots or Giants?

indy-super-bowl

It’s Super Bowl time! Two most storied franchises in NFL history: the New York Giants and New England Patriots are set to square off. The Patriots are the dynasty team of the 2000s in football, winning it all in 2001, 2003 and 2004. Yet they’re still the Boston sports team with the longest title drought- crazy fact isn’t it?

The Giants also have three Super Bowl titles: 1986, 1990 and 2007. They’ve been around a lot longer than the Pats so they also have four more NFL championships from the pre-Super Bowl era.
