Late last night came the media event of the year. Osama Bin Laden getting captured and killed is a huge story for all Americans, and everyone around the world. There was a lot of interesting, thought-provoking and funny reactions all over the twitterverse in the last 24 hours. I share with you now, excerpts from the Twitter timeline of two of the more compelling accounts.

Derrick Rose inspires Pride, Awe in Former Memphis Tigers Teammates

Derrick Rose has become a force of nature this year. The man-crush of all Bulls and greater Chicago sports fans alike, he’s a runaway front-runner to win the NBA MVP award.

His breakout season has of course inspired pride and awe in the Memphis Tigers college basketball community; and among those who have moved on to the NBA, including Joey Dorsey of the Toronto Raptors, and Chris Douglas-Roberts of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Limping Milwaukee Bucks beat up on paralyzed Cleveland Cavaliers

Tuesday, it was the starters. Wednesday, it was the bench.

Atlanta Hawks drag Milwaukee Bucks off cliff for 45 minutes

Since the 2009-10 season ended, the Milwaukee Bucks roster has shape-shifted more than Mickey Rourke’s face. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Atlanta Hawks feature the same rotation that fought through a seven game first round series against the Andrew Bogut-less Bucks in last year’s playoffs.

Is Chris Douglas-Roberts the steal of the offseason for the Milwaukee Bucks?

The Milwaukee Bucks may have found the next Luke Ridnour.

Last season, Ridnour was the Bucks’ most reliable weapon off the bench when the team needed an energetic boost without interrupting the flow of the offense. Ridnour happily obliged by posting career high percentages in field goal, three point, and free throw percentages while averaging just 21 minutes a game.
