Kansas Jayhawks site celebrating boobs in danger (pics)

The Kansas Jayhawks have a very special fan site out there. However, it’s in danger of going away. The University of Kansas has some issues with it. They’re okay with the existence of KU Boobs. They’re just not okay with them selling merchandise with the Kansas Jayhawks logo on it. KU Boobs does donate a lot of the money raised from the selling of their wristbands to research fighting breast cancer so you have to give them that.

Pretty much any product you endorse can be sold by breasts. And breasts sell themselves in any ad, website, blog post. Some of the Kansas Jayhawks fan pictures actually have the girls faces in them; most don’t.

UPDATED 2013-2014 preseason top 25 college basketball rankings

With the Louisville Cardinals cutting down the nets, the book was officially closed on the 2012-2013 college basketball season.  Hoop junkies like myself are already looking ahead to next season so allow me to present to you my updated way too early 2012-2013 preseason Top 25 college basketball rankings.

So here is my preliminary preseason Top 25 college basketball rankings for next season.  I have updated these rankings since the NBA Draft early entries list is complete and a number of transfers have since been announced.  There is still one major x-factor out there, the undecided Andrew Wiggins who is the #1 prospect in the 2013 class.  Leave a comment below if you think a team is too high, too low, not getting enough respect, or if you notice an error in a projected roster.  (Click here to see how my 2012-13 way too early preseason college basketball rankings turned out.)

#4 Kansas Jayhawks: College Basketball 111 in 111

kansas jayhawk cheerleaders

Welcome to The Sports Bank’s third annual college basketball season preview series.  Two years we looked at 99 teams in 99 days.  Last year, we were slightly more aggressive and expanded to 111 teams in 111 days and will do so again as we look ahead to the 2012-2013 season.

We will rank the 75 power conference teams and top 36 mid-majors in reverse power ranking order.  We’ll break down rosters, transfers, incoming freshmen, non-conference schedules, and pick a player to watch for each team.

The Big 12 title has run through Lawrence as the Kansas Jayhawks have cut down the nets in each of the past nine seasons.  While Bill Self loses Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor, there is plenty of talent on this roster that should have KU once again competing for a trip to the Final Four.  Their first big test early on comes tonight versus Michigan State.

Can Kansas’ Tyshawn Taylor be a true NBA point guard?

tyshawn taylor nba draft

Tyshawn Taylor helped lead the Kansas Jayhawks to the NCAA National Championship Game this past season.  Though KU lost to Kentucky and fell short of cutting down the nets, a terrific senior season helped propel Taylor to possibly being a first round pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.  One of the biggest questions regarding the Jayhawk floor general is just that; can he be a true point guard at the NBA level?

When it comes to future NBA players on the Kansas Jayhawks roster, it of course starts with Thomas Robinson, the go-to-guy and likely top 5 pick in June.

But there are two guys you saw in the national title game last night who have professional potential too: point guard Tyshawn Taylor and Center Jeff Withey. Both have had their pluses and minuses highlighted and magnified on the national stage this March.
