Longhorns’ Jordan Hamilton Increases Agility, NBA Draft Stock with Yoga

Jordan Hamilton Texas

In this NBA Draft class, there’s a lot of concern surrounding many of the prospects- including those projected to fall into the lottery. When it comes to Texas Longhorns swingman Jordan Hamilton, some scouts and fans are concerned about him about him being dialed-in and “on it” all the time every game. At least on the defensive end.

“I did kind of over-play guys, but I just got to use my length and things like that. Towards the end of the season I played pretty good defense,” Hamilton said at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.

Some members of the basketball cognoscenti believe he just cruises sometimes, and relies on his pure talent, not hard work to get by.

NBA Draft Stock Report (1/20/11)

jajuan johnson purdue

Did you see JaJuan Johnson‘s game-winning shot to help Purdue avoid being upset by Penn State?  Johnson has come up huge this season and I have even heard one radio talk show host compare him to a poor-man’s Kevin Durant.  Regardless of how asinine that may seem, Johnson has improved his all around game and his draft stock has never been higher.

The NBA Draft Stock Report checks in on which players have made a name for themselves in the past week; either helping or hurting their future draft position.  Click here for The Sports Bank’s 2011 NBA Mock Draft.

99 in 99: #24 Texas Longhorns

texas longhorn cheerleaders

Remember when the Texas Longhorns were 17-0 and the top ranked team in the country last season?  I will admit it; I was buying into the hype.  They looked like they were going to be a gimme to get to the Final Four with their well-rounded roster.  Instead, the Horns ended up losing eight of their final fourteens regular season games and were a one-and-done in the tourney.

The Sports Bank’s “99 in 99” ranks the 72 power conference college basketball teams and top 27 mid-majors for the 2010-2011 season.  Click here if you missed teams #25-#99.
