Maybe  Jay-Z is really putting together “The Blueprint,” for a championship. The Brooklyn Nets all but officially re-signed Gerald Wallace yesterday, Deron Williams says it’s either Brooklyn or Dallas, nowhere else. And Jason Kidd wants to be a package deal with Williams to back him up.

But here’s the piece de resistance: Dwight Howard says Jay-Z’s ballclub is the only one he wants to sign with. Put it all together, and a very weak Eastern Conference, all the Brooklyn opponents will have “99 Problems.”

Brooklyn Nets agree to $40 million deal with Gerald Wallace

The Brooklyn Nets made a statement about trying to retain their base today by committing to re-sign their “second piece,” at least in theory. The agent of Gerald Wallace says he’s verbally committed to stay with Brooklyn. Whether you think Wallace is an actual #2 piece though is up to you.

Will this help retain Deron Williams? D Will is down to just Dallas and Brooklyn as his free agent choices.

The 10 Worst NBA Drafts in the Lottery Era

The calendar now reads June. In the NBA that means it’s time to crown an NBA Champion. However among the biggest of NBA nerds, it also means it’s time to get ready for the NBA draft. We’re only two weeks and a few hours away from the 2011 NBA Draft. This year, it’s preparing for the likes of Kyrie Irving, Derrick Williams, Enes Kanter and Brandon Knight to join the greatest basketball league on the planet that has us basketball geeks totally psyched.
