Injury Guru: Be Wary of Colts Receiver Austin Collie in Fantasy Drafts

July 13, 2011 By paulmbanks

“I think I have kind of put that behind me,” Collie said. “I don’t like to dwell on it too much just because it can affect your play going across the middle and catching another ball…So I try to ignore any thought I do have of it.” Those were the remarks made my Colts wide receiver Austin Collie in regard to the multiple concussions he suffered last season. By Dan … [Read more...] about Injury Guru: Be Wary of Colts Receiver Austin Collie in Fantasy Drafts

Is Michael Vick Worth the Risk in Fantasy?

July 7, 2011 By paulmbanks

The Michael Vick Experience was one of the hottest rides in town years ago. It was something no one had ever seen, but then, just like that, it was shut down. Last year, you were given a free ticket to the ride’s reopening. There was a lot of risk involved, considering it had been a while since it was up and running, but the reward outweighed the risk. After all, you paid … [Read more...] about Is Michael Vick Worth the Risk in Fantasy?

Why Browns Peyton Hillis is not a top 15 Fantasy Running Back

June 24, 2011 By paulmbanks

. When I put together my early 2011 fantasy football running back rankings Peyton Hillis missed the cut. After 1654 total yards (1177 rushing, 477 receiving) and 13 touchdowns (11 rushing, 2 receiving) there are questions at the validity of my rankings. Well, I’m here to defend my rankings. . Cleveland Browns GM Tom Heckert admitted that Hillis received too many touches … [Read more...] about Why Browns Peyton Hillis is not a top 15 Fantasy Running Back

Fantasy Football: 2011 NFC West Running Backs

June 9, 2011 By paulmbanks

. Frank Gore headlines the running back scene in the NFC West, but he has some pretty serious injury concerns. He has missed nine games over the past three years, and didn’t reach 250 carries in any of those seasons. While he is very active in the receiving game averaging 51 catches per season over the past five years, he only has 32 rushing touchdowns over that stretch. He … [Read more...] about Fantasy Football: 2011 NFC West Running Backs

Fantasy Football: 2011 NFC South Running Back Situations

June 8, 2011 By paulmbanks

. The NFC South is pretty loaded in the running back department. Atlanta’s Michael Turner leads the way. He ran for 1371 yards and 12 touchdowns last year. He gets a downgrade in PPR leagues as he only caught 12 passes for 85 yards last year, but he’s a solid RB1. Turner has averaged 91.7 rushing yards and 0.91 rushing touchdowns per game over the past three years. … [Read more...] about Fantasy Football: 2011 NFC South Running Back Situations

Fantasy Football: 2011 NFC East Running Back Situations

June 6, 2011 By paulmbanks

. About the only stable running back scene in the NFC East belongs to the Philadelphia Eagles. LeSean McCoy ran for 1080 yards and seven touchdowns. He added to his totals with a ridiculous 78 catches for 592 yards and two more scores. Sure, he’ll lose some touchdowns to Michael Vick, but he doesn’t have much competition from other running backs. McCoy is a solid RB1. … [Read more...] about Fantasy Football: 2011 NFC East Running Back Situations
