After Erin Andrews completed her third place finish on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” I posed the question where will she land next? And on June 15th, 2010 I wrote right here in this spot “Erin Andrews should replace Brooke Burke as host of DWTS.” It looks like ABC/Disney is listening to me because today that exact move was announced.

Follow paulmbanksErin Andrews officially joins Fox Sports
You have seen the last of Erin Andrews at ESPN, and she is now officially headed to Fox Sports instead. She officially became done with the WWL Friday as they let it be known today via tweet from their PR department. As you would expect for anything involving “Erin Pageviews” that tweeted was RTd thousands of times.
And now Fox Sports itself has let the new home of EA be known.
“Opportunities to add someone of Erin Andrews’ caliber don’t come along often and we’re thrilled to welcome her back to the FOX Sports family,” said Eric Shanks, executive producer, co-president and COO, FOX Sports Media Group. “Erin is one of the hardest-working, most-respected individuals in sports television and we expect her to have an immediate impact. In addition to having her anchor our new college football show and studio coverage, we expect her to be a big contributor to our MLB and NFL coverage as well as other major events.”
Follow paulmbanksJenn Brown: Erin Andrews’ very likely ESPN Successor
I’ve been saying this for about a year or so. And it looks like it will soon become true: Jenn Brown is the next Erin Andrews. It will be made official once Brown takes over EA spots on College Gameday. That’s the word we’re hearing now. She’ll take the spot on the college football pregame show and the telecasts opposite Kirk Herbstreit and Brent Musburger. The ESPN sideline princess baton will be passed from one 34 year old former Florida Gator to a 31 year old former Florida Gator. Jennifer “Jenn” Lynne Brown, is likely heading over to the scorers table and signing in.
Especially now that Erin Andrews has left ESPN and his likely headed to Fox Sports

Erin Andrews Acolytes have Started Worshipping Jenn Brown
Apparently, there’s a new heiress to the supposed “Sideline Princess” throne. Watch tonight with the Thursday night college football game of the week.
ESPN’s Jenn Brown is a former bikini model (which obviously gave her more journalistic credentials than even Medill graduates) and gymnast (again making her clearly more qualified in news reporting than the thousands of experienced j-school grads dying for her job). She also attended the same school (University of Florida) as the reigning Media Princess Erin Andrews.

Feel old? You will now: Britney Spears turned 30 yesterday. (Popwatch) I remember back in junior year of college when she burst onto the scene as Little Ms. Jailbait. And some dude in the school paper wrote an op-ed saying something to the extent of “Spears is making Lolita Complexes fashionable right now, but chill out. By the time she’s 25, she’ll be a really fat, divorced single mom.” (It wasn’t me- I swear!)
Damn, he nailed that one. The only part he didn’t prophesize was her second divorce and comeback/weight loss.

Follow paulmbanksQuestioning Ron Zook’s Very Questionable Play-Calls, Rationale
Fans of the Florida Gators will understand this piece.
Actually non college football fans will probably understand it even.
It feels like we publish this column every season. Last year, we did the “Did Ron Zook’s play-calling cost Illinois a win?” story after the Illini had a chance to upset then #2 Ohio State at home in the Big Ten conference opener. Go here to brush up on that.
And then there’s the 2006 loss to the Indiana Hoosiers, in which Zook inexplicably went for 2-pt conversions not once, but twice (both attempts failed) with the game tied early in the second quarter of what ended up being a 1-pt loss. The Zooker told the media afterward that the decisions didn’t matter.
Even though it was a ONE point loss (32-31), but yeah…
..the Zook terrible decision making season got started earlier in 2011. This time it happened in the pre-conference, and the questionable play-calls didn’t actually cost them a victory, as the Illini held on to beat Western Michigan 23-20.

Two years after the infamous peephole video, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews still can’t escape it – even though she put her stalker behind bars. As Andrews gears up for college football season, and her increased media presence that always accompanies it, she sat down with Marie Claire to discuss the public and private battles she’s still waging. Below you will find an excerpt from the story, “The Haunting of Erin Andrews,” which appears in the August issue of the magazine as well as the magazine cover image.
