Penn State Still Nowhere Close to Finding New Coach


Forget all those rumors you’ve heard about who is to be the successor to Joe Paterno at Penn State. Eric Mangini? Nah, not gonna happen. They’re no more closer to finding their new college football coach today than on the day Paterno was fired.

Penn State’s acting Athletic Director David Joyner said during a Ticket City Bowl public event in Dallas that the search to replace Joe Paterno will be extensive.

They imposed an artificial arbitrary deadline of January 3rd for finding their new leader. The school admitted a couple days ago that they have no chance of making that deadline. The latest name to pop up in PSU coaching rumors in Rutgers’ Greg Schiano.
