Which quarterback should the Chicago Bears draft?

Before you get up in arms about the title, let me make this clear: this is not an article proposing that the Bears should pick a quarterback in the 1st round of this year’s draft to replace Jay Cutler.

If the Bears take a quarterback at all, it will be with one of their later selections in the 4th, 5th, 6th, or even 7th rounds. No quarterback taken that late will challenge for a starting spot in year one. It will be a “project” type player who will have to pay his dues in practice and in the film room while patiently waiting for a starting shot down the rode a la Aaron Rodgers.

#27 Kansas State Wildcats: College Football 77 in 77

Kansas State QB Collin Klein is a special single threat quarterback. Sorry, I know everyone throws that term “dual threat” around like crazy, but when your team is 108th in the nation in passing, you’re not a dual threat QB, you’re a signal caller that can run.

Klein did lead the team to a 10-3 season last year, but that doesn’t mean he knows how to really pass. He has a long way to go to improve as a passer, and doing so would go a long way towards helping the Cats repeat double digit wins in 2012.

Rapid Reaction: Oklahoma Has Crazy Second Half, Blows Out KSU

In a game that served as the first real test that the #8 Kansas State Wildcats have faced this year, they were found to be woefully lacking, as Landry Jones passed for 505 yards and the Oklahoma Sooners scored 44 unanswered points en route to a blistering 58-17 thrashing of KSU in Manhattan. Ryan Broyles had 14 catches for 171 yards and a score, and Jaz Reynolds caught two TD’s as well as the Sooners ended up with 690 yards of offense in the massive victory.
