In his 2004 hit “Heart of a Champion”, a hip-hop song with more sports references than any in history (it also appropriately sampled the ’90s “NBA on NBC” theme song in its beat), Nelly rapped: Can’t stop me from scoring so they resort to just hacking. So there’s, three of us now – me, A.I. and Shaq’n. But this isn’t 2004 anymore, and Allen Iverson is now just a shell of what he once was. Plain and simple- his best days are far behind him.

NBA Power Rankings: #26 Memphis Grizzlies

We are only a month and a half away from the start of the NBA season.  So why not start our 2009-2010 team previews?  Every weekday for the next six weeks, I will be revealing my pre-season Power Rankings in reverse order from #30 to my prediction for winning the NBA title.

The Memphis Grizzlies find themselves in a similar position from years past; near the bottom of the league.  Their general manager is an absolute moron and it is  baffling how he still has a job.  Too harsh?  I don’t think so.  The additions of Zach Randolph and Allen Iverson should at least provide Memphis with a season long drama to follow.  Oh yeah, they will be playing basketball too.
