Northwestern basketball needs more from JerShon Cobb


In order for Northwestern basketball to reach the NIT, they’ll need more from JerShon Cobb. The second option behind Drew Crawford, Cobb is second on the team in scoring, and they’re the only two that average double figures for the Wildcats. NU Coach Chris Collins has said on a few occasions that his team does not have the depth of other Big Ten schools, therefore his margin of error is smaller.

JerShon Cobb needs to be on it as much as possible.

Northwestern Guard Marcotullio battling for Britain


Northwestern freshman guard Alex Marcotullio is the latest Wildcat men’s basketball player to earn an opportunity to compete internationally as he has been invited to the Great Britain U20 training camp.

A native of Warren, Mich., Marcotullio appeared in all 34 games for the Wildcats as a freshman during the 2009-10 campaign. He averaged 4.8 points and 14 minutes per game and ranked 15th in the Big Ten with a .369 3-point field goal percentage.
