Who had the Most Accurate 2011 NBA Mock Draft?

draft rankings

One thing I always disliked about draft grades- for both sports, is that they’re very inaccurate. You can’t actually grade/judge them until a few years have passed.

Now grading a mock draft? You can do that as soon as the draft ends. And one website, Weakside Awareness, has done just that with their  “Watching the Watchers” post. Of course, they didn’t rank every single mock on the web, just the most prominent ones.

And here are the results. Notice who’s #1!!!!!!  REPRESENT!

2011 NBA Draft Wrap Up

nba draft

The days after the NBA Draft for me are like the days following the NCAA Tournament Championship Game; filled with a little bit of sadness, emptiness, and a whole lot of “what the heck am I going to do with my free time now?”  So before we put the 2011 NBA Draft to rest and melancholy and infinite sadness sets in, here is a wrap up.

Cleveland Cavaliers Don’t Need to Choose Between Kyrie Irving & Derrick Williams

Since the NBA Draft lottery was held last month, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been on the clock. The Cavs have also supposedly been deciding which of the consensus top two picks to take with the first overall pick.

“Kyrie Irving or Derrick Williams?” has been the question within the Cavaliers organization, the city of Cleveland, the NBA Nerds heads, etc. for the past 4 weeks or so. If the Cavs were smart, they wouldn’t have to choose.

Instead, they could have them both.

Kentucky’s DeAndre Liggins Made Right Decision in Entering NBA Draft

deandre liggins kentucky

Every year I scratch my head at several underclassmen who decide to leave school and enter the NBA Draft early; and this year was no different.  Most people felt that way about DeAndre Liggins‘ decision to leave Kentucky after his junior season.  However, when you at Liggins’ situation with his personal life and how things likely would have shaped up on-the-court at Lexington next season, his choice to turn pro makes sense even though there is a real possibility he will not get drafted on June 23rd.

2010 NBA Draft Lottery Re-Do

John Wall

With the NBA All-Star weekend upon us, it is time for an annual tradition here at The Sports Bank; the NBA Draft Lottery Re-do.  Peter Christian and David Kay will alternate re-drafting the top fourteen picks in the 2010 NBA Draft taking into account what they know about the rookies based off their performances so far this season.  They will factor in how each team’s roster looked at the time of the draft (for example, Gilbert Arenas was still with the Wizards and not the Magic, so when the Wiz pick first, Arenas will be part of the team) and give their reasons as to why the selection would be made.  You can check out our 2011 NBA Mock Draft by clicking here.
