Russell Wilson is doing pretty well these days. Especially for a guy who was supposed to be too short to play in the NFL. Russell Wilson is my height, maybe shorter. And I’m about 5’9″-5’10.” So forget whatever height is listed on the Seattle Seahawks depth chart, I’ve covered him during his college football days, I’ve stood next to him.
Height hasn’t stopped the former Wisconsin Badgers rent-a-player from NC State to becoming a NFL franchise QB. Look at these stats:
Top 3 of NFL’s Top Selling Jerseys from April 1 to June 30: 1. Colin Kaepernick 2. Russell Wilson 3. RG3
That’s right, the man who broke the college football season record for highest ever passer rating in a single season at the Rose Bowl is now the second hottest selling NFL jersey. It’s funny that RG3 also broke it that season, but his rating finished below that of Russell Wilson. RW’ is probably the most mobile passer in the NFL. It’s why his height doesn’t matter; he finds passing lanes by moving around. He doesn’t need to see over the linemen.
The 8th Annual ESPY Escape Gifting Lounge took place at the JW Marriott last week, where Russell Wilson, Jordyn Wieber and other celebrities and athletes mingled together such as: Joe Flacco, Victor Cruz, Ray Allen, Michael Phelps, Yasiel Puig and Jacoby Jones.
As you can see from the pic Russell Wilson took home a lot of swag which included: Belkin Wireless Gift Package, Outterbox Smartphone Case Gift Set, Zirh Mens Grooming Gift Sets, ESPYS Westin Lake Las Vegas – Weekend Getaway Package, 5 focus gum 1 Year Supply + Travel Bag, Tikkun Holistic Spa On-Site Poolside Massages + VIP Spa Day Pass.
And here’s Russell Wilson at the ESPYS
