Why do the Pittsburgh Steelers suck so much?

What is wrong with the Pittsburgh Steelers? Well, at least Ben Roethlisberger has not taken any women into the bathroom and…..well, he’s behaving himself. So that’s a good thing; for everyone. The Steelers, their QB and face of their franchise. As well as the young women of America. So that’s most important.

Unfortunately, that’s about all you can say about the Pittsburgh Steelers that’s quite positive.

“They look old,” Dan Patrick said of the Steelers defense. “Old and slow,” Rodney Harrison said after the Steelers got trounced 55-31 by the New England Patriots.

New England piled up 610 yards, third most in team history. Pittsburgh wasted a solid performance by Ben Roethlisberger, who threw for 400 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions. The 55 points were the most scored in an NFL game this season and the most ever scored against the Steelers (2-6).

Tom Brady had been having a very mediocre at best type season; then he faced the Steelers and he got all better! FWIW, and I’m not sure why I’m even doing this, but here’s a snippet of what the ESPN crew had to say this morning about why the Pittsburgh Steelers suck:

Keyshawn Johnson: “After this season, they’re probably going to have to dismantle the team, especially some of the veteran guys. … They don’t have the players on defense. When you lose guys, they haven’t been able to replace them.”
Cris Carter: “They put no fear in the offense … Typically, they have three or four rushers, off the edge, middle linebackers that collapse your pocket. You have no time to run your routes.”
