I guess the NY Jets won’t be doing that again. Team bonding activity led to epic fail the next day. Rex Ryan took his NY Jets team out for a little fun and games on Saturday night. Some good clean wholesome fun. Not saying this is related; or cause and effect, but the NY Jets got their butts handed to them the next day 37-14 by the very mediocre Buffalo Bills.
“I’m a grown man. I don’t want to play video games. I want to get my mind ready for the football game.” – Hines Ward on the NY Jets going to Dave & Buster’s Saturday night.
Tony Dungy: “When you’ve got a rookie quarterback you’re going to have some ups and downs. But the Jets cannot have these other problems going on. They can’t have the pass protection problems; they can’t give up the big plays. Geno is going to be up and down. They’ve got to be better in other areas.”
Geno was AWFUL! three picks, no TDs, 4.5 YPA, barely a C-note passing for the game. He had to relieved for Matt Simms. The Bills had a rookie QB too; but he got the W in convincing fashion. I don’t believe the NY Jets outing is the reason for their abysmal performance the next day. But you know how superstitious NFL players are, so the NY Jets won’t likely do this again.
