Now that Marcus Mariota has won the Heisman trophy, the Heisman trust got exactly what they wanted right now- a very inoffensive and bland personality taking home the award. From Cam Newton to Johnny Manziel to Jameis Winston, the Heisman has seen lots of controversy, off-the-field issues and polarizing figures. Now, in Marcus Mariota, they have someone as vanilla and corporate as it gets.

So now the question is, who will get to draft Marcus Mariota with the top NFL Draft pick?

Tony Dungy on Marcus Mariota: “I think those teams at the top of that list (worst NFL record this season), including Tampa Bay, they are loving Marcus Mariota right now. He is a great young man. I know him well. Everybody loves Marcus, including me.”

Marcus Mariota made an appearance on CBS The NFL Today.

COWHER: If there is one quarterback you look at in the National Football League and try to emulate and follow, who would that be?

MARIOTA: Definitely Aaron Rodgers. I love watching that guy play. He’s in such command of that offense, and he understands the weaknesses in coverages. I hope to emulate that someday.

BOOMER ESIASON: Are you ready to be the Jets quarterback or no?

MARIOTA: Of course. If anybody is willing to give me a shot, I’m ready to be the best that I can be.

The next time Marcus Mariota says something interesting in an interview, it will also be the first time.
