One of the big trends for Super Bowl XLVII – #Kaepernicking. We’ve had Tebowing, Bradying, Te’oing and pretty much every -ing with a football player you can name in the past year or so. Now the San Francisco 49ers QB’s signature pose has gone viral, and Colin Kaepernick has teamed up with licensed apparel brand Sportiqe to use the social media phenomenon for a good cause.
While last year’s Super Bowl was all about the New York Giants’ Victor Cruz and his “Salsa Dance”, this year #Kaepernicking (The Act of kissing one’s bicep- see above) has become a fan favorite meme across the country. And that’s saying something since the meme craze, including Taylor Swifting and cat breading (see below), has gotten way out of control. Sportiqe has partnered with Colin to create ‘#Kaepernicking” t-shirts for both men and women, and a portion of the proceeds benefit Camp Taylor, a nonprofit free camp for Children with Heart disease.
