The Bo Pelini cat jokes are not losing any steam. As we saw tonight at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, the Kitty Pelini bit is still hilarious. Cornhuskers fans are embracing it with more momentum every week. Take a look below at this screen grab from the game broadcast tonight.

The cat that actually belong to a school official, but is misattributed to being owned by Pelini dominated the talk at Big Ten Media Day. Bo Pelini himself is playing along, and the feline phenomenon is a win-win for everybody:

The parody Twitter account that started it all, @Faux Pelini, sees his legendary status continue to grow.
And those who tuned in to watch the Cornhuskers’ complete and utter destruction of Illinois actually took something worthwhile away from the viewing experience.
The Nebraska coaching staff placed a Smokin Jay Cutler meme on their play-calling boards too.
Nebraska rolled up nearly 400 yards of total offense by halftime. Heisman candidate Ameer Abdullah had almost 200 yards rushing by halftime as NU built a 31-14 lead and never looked back. So although the game itself reached blowout status by the second quarter, it did have plenty of photos of furry felines.
The cat of Bo Pelini was not made available for comment immediately following the conclusion of the game.
