Today it was announced that Chicago Bulls legend and team ambassador/six-time NBA champion/Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2010 inductee Scottie Pippen will join Comcast SportsNet’s game announcing tandem of Neil Funk and Stacey King as an additional game analyst for the network’s Bulls telecast on Friday, March 4 at Orlando (6:00 PM start).

In addition, Pippen will also handle game analyst duties for every Bulls playoff telecast on Comcast SportsNet beginning in mid-April.

“Scottie Pippen is most certainly one of the greatest players in NBA history whose knowledge and passion of the game is second to none,” said James J. Corno, President of Comcast SportsNet Chicago. “We’re thrilled Scottie will be on our team with Neil and Stacey for the March 4th telecast at Orlando, along with every Bulls playoff telecast on Comcast SportsNet this spring.”

Pippen, named one of the “50 Greatest Players in NBA History” in 1996, enjoyed a massively-successful 17-year NBA career, including 12 seasons in a Bulls uniform. Among his numerous career accomplishments include being named to the “All-NBA First Team” on three occasions, twice to the “All-NBA Second Team,” the “All-NBA Defensive First Team” eight times, an NBA All-Star selection seven times and the1994 All-Star Game MVP. In addition, Pippen won gold medals at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games, the first coming as a member of the original “Dream Team,” who, along with Pippen, were also recently inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
