The Houston Rockets have sent Jeremy Lin, a 2015 first-round pick and a second-rounder to the Los Angeles Lakers for draft rights and cash.

The Lakers just need players. Just bodies. Period. They have no depth at point guard since Jordan Farmar left for the Clippers. Steve Nash is on his last legs.

Last season, Lin averaged 12.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in a mostly reserve role for the Rockets. He is in the final year of a three-year, $25 million contract he signed with Houston in 2012 that will pay him close to $15 million for the 2014-2014 season.

Remember the Jeremy Lin “Linsanity” from February 2012?

Yeah, ESPN gave us a basketball version of Tim Tebow for awhile. Jeremy Lin could be back in the spotlight now that he’s in LA-LA land.
