Chicago Bulls release 2 players you’ve never heard of

chicago bulls

Chicago Bulls announced today that the team has waived forwards Rob Kurz and Chris Richard.I would say this is a cost-cutting move, yet another transaction to increase salary cap space for the free agent bonanza, but I’d be lying. These guys didn’t cost anything. I’m not sure they would even be on the books for this year anyway.

Kurz (6-9, 230), 25, signed with the Bulls as a free agent on April 9, 2010.  He did not make an appearance in a Bulls uniform during his time with the team.

Richard (6-9, 256), 25, played in 18 games last season with Chicago and averaged 2.1 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 12.4 mpg.

  1. You’ve never heard of these guys cause you’re not a real sports fan which is very evident by your article.

  2. paulmbanks says

Are you fucking retarded??!!! The article is entitled players YOU’VE never heard of, not players I’VE never heard of.

The average NBA fan has likely not heard much about Kurz and Richard, and that’s who this is targeted to; the average NBA fan who isn’t really well versed in the 13th and 14th men on the bench of the 8th best team in the Eastern Conference.

And the headline was an exaggeration to breathe life into an otherwise newsworthy, although not that exciting story. Because these two players played so little during the Bulls season.

I cover the team, at both practice and at games, I’ve interviewed both players. So yeah I’ve heard of them.

Oh and….you can piss off now

  3. jmccormick says

I think he was just trolling.

  4. paulmbanks says

how do you define trolling? I’ve heard numerous definitions of that word

  5. jmccormick says

He just said something generic with nothing behind it in hopes that you get worked up by it.

  6. paulmbanks says

hahahha. As I’m growing in reach, and scope of my audience, I’m getting a lot mroe of these. See the Erin Andrews piece on the wash times for more evidence. These “trolls” are getting more plentiful.

I need to learn to limit my responses to just a line or two, otherwise it’ll turn into a huge waste of time responding to these no lifers

  7. jmccormick says

Yeah you might want to limit the response to a logical sentence or two. Getting worked up just fuels the idiot fire. Let stupidity speak for itself.

  8. I’m a Notre Dame fan, I remember Rob Kurz existing, and even I didn’t know he was still around. I figured he would be doing something constructive with his Fighting Irish degree by now.
