The Chicago Cubs revealed today their promotional and special events calendars for the 2013 season. Details follow. Being of German descent, the highlight for me is Oktoberfest. And who would ever think “Cubs” and “October” together in a positive light. Heck, who would even think of “Cubs” and “October” together. So grab your Spaten or Bitburger or Gluwein and raise your glass to the Cubs special days/nights in 2013.

Promo items:

Darwin Barney Gold Glove Replica Trophy (April 13)

Women’s Derby Hat (May 4- see our gallery of attractive women in Kentucky Derby hats here to get you in the mood)

Kerry Wood Gnome (May 31) Hopefully, he doesn’t throw it into the crowd like he did his glove.

Harry Caray Replica Statue (July 13) comes with a built-in BAC of .06

Cubs Lucha Libre Wrestling Mask for Bleachers (July 29)

First Night Game Reissue Cap (Aug. 12).

Special Events

Inaugural Zubazpalooza event in the Bleachers (Sept. 23), where participating fans will receive a pair of official Zubaz pants in Cubs colors. LORD HELP US, this is their answer to the White Sox mullet night

Someone will have the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch at the second annual Social Media Night (Aug. 21).

Single Cubs fans will have the opportunity to mingle and make connections at the Aug. 1 Singles Night that includes a T-shirt giveaway in the Bleachers. So expect lots of ugly women or hot women that are utterly insane at this one.

The Salute to Big Ten Night (Sept. 3) ticket package includes a special-edition Cubs hat that represents each participant’s Big Ten school of choice. Northwestern and the Illini in the house!

Several appreciation nights are planned, including Law Enforcement Appreciation Night (May 15), Teacher Appreciation Day (July 9), Firefighter Appreciation Night (July 31), and Little League and Softball Appreciation Day (Aug. 14).

Oktoberfest Celebration (Sept. 24) that includes a ceramic Cubs Oktoberfest stein.
