Van Gaal is top ten trending right now on Twitter, and it’s definitely for all the wrong reasons. Whether Manchester United decide to go Pep Guardiola, or Jose Mourinho, or someone else entirely, they’ll need to make a change soon. Right now, United fans are lashing out on social media at Van Gaal and deservedly so.
The Red Devils fell yet again, 1-0 at home to Southampton today. When it was over, the Dutchman was understandably booed off the pitch.

Manchester United have not met with Pep Guardiola to discuss taking over as manager at Old Trafford, sources told ESPN FC.
Reports in France suggested officials from Old Trafford had held secret talks with the 45-year-old in Paris last week. But ESPN FC has been told that was not the case and United are insistent no such meeting took place.
Van Gaal has again dismissed reports he will leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, even going as far as to say he does not have to answer to the media. Here’s a link to the full quote.
