Player-coach Ryan Giggs, an icon is Red Devils history and member of the famed Class of ’92, was rumored to be quitting Man United this summer. Supposedly, he’s had a falling out with David Moyes and wants to leave. There are also doubts over Phil Neville (another member of the Class of ’92) ‘s long-term future as first-team coach. That’s what The Express reported a few weeks ago.
And now the story is really catching on. The Mirror picked up on the Ryan Giggs rumors too.
Now there’s a new Ryan Giggs rumor floating about
“Reports suggest he could even be out of a job within the next 24 hours as pressure begins to mount, with Ryan Giggs becoming caretaker manager.”
Yes, Ryan Giggs could be United boss for the interim. Louis van Gaal and Jurgen Klopp are the leading candidates thus far to be the permanent solution as a replacement for Moyes.
That same link is rather interesting and amusing for another host of entirely different reasons. Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea fans have orchestrated some clever tweets with the tongue-in-cheek hashtag #SaveMoyes. TalkSport Storified some of the best responses.
