10,000 Liverpool fans walk out of Anfield in protest

“You’ll never walk alone” Liverpool fans. Or to be more accurate, you’ll never do a walk out protest alone. Because about 10,000 Reds supporters left Anfield early today as a way to protest the big ticket price hike. The extremely passionate, zealous fan base just made an early exit at the 77′, symbolizing the new £77 ticket price tag.

The top-priced ticket in the newly reconstructed Main Stand has been set at £77, up from £59. Liverpool haven’t gotten any better as they transitioned from Brendan Rodgers to Jurgen Klopp. Actually, they have gotten worse. Hence the fans aren’t very happy about this idea that their ticket prices will be going up.

It’s the first ever walkout protest in Liverpool’s history and it’s making Anfield a top ten trending term all over the world on Twitter right now.

Photos and videos from Anfield are streaming in all over social media. Liverpool went on to draw 2-2 with Sunderland.

Earlier this season, following the Reds loss 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace, Klopp expressed how his feelings got hurt by the droves of Liverpool leaving the match early in order to beat traffic. By the 82′ Klopp said he felt along.

Of course, this time Liverpool fans are walking out of Anfield for a more significant reason.
