The Illini football team will hold it’s annual spring scrimmage under the Friday night lights instead of on a usual Saturday. Friday night lights: “clear eyes, full hearts, CAN’T LOSE!” And that’s guaranteed- the Illini football team can not lose this game. Tim Beckman may have gone winless in his first Big Ten season, but he will not lose this one, as it is an orange and blue game; an intrasquad scrimmage.

View the full Orange and Blue rosters.

Now it wouldn’t be a Tim Beckman press conference without a mention of food, and some “hunger games” to boot. And this year’s contest has some Jimmie John’s on the line within the coaching staff. Last year, the winning team got STEAKS AND CAKES while the loser had to eat frank and beans. And I know you remember the lasagna references in Beckman’s first press conference at Illinois.
