Shooting guard Aaron Jordan has chosen Illinois. The class of 2015 blue-chip prospect from Plainfield, Illinois picked the Illini over Northwestern, Creighton, Indiana, Wisconsin and Purdue.  Currently, Aaron Jordan is ranked as the 60th best prospect in the country, according to Rivals.com, and No. 77 by Scout.com. Aaron Jordan is considered a top prospect in the state of Illinois.

Fox Sports Taylor Rooks broke the news on her Twitter account. Aaron Jordan was in attendance for the Illini home blowout win over Penn State and talked to some reporters.

BREAKING: Aaron Jordan just informed me he verbally committed Illinois . Full story will be posted on Illini Playbook.

Aaron Jordan is a consistent, high-level perimeter shooter in a 6-4 frame. He can create his own shot, and his shooting stroke is pretty and efficient. He joins Simeon product D.J. Williams in the Illini class of 2015. “We wanted to take that time, look at things together, because my family and their input is a big part of helping me make my decision, so it was important to have them around on all the visits I took,” Aaron Jordan told the Sun-Times. “But at the end it just felt right. Illinois felt like home.”
