Tim Sherwood is not shy from expressing his opinion. The Tottenham Hotspur Manager knows that his side is open to criticism. Especially now as the Spurs are out of the running for the top four, and the Champions League berth that goes with it.
SkySports pundit, and former Tottenham midfielder, and later Manager, Glenn Hoddle noted that Spurs players were seen looking relaxed and less than pumped up in the Anfield tunnel before they got trounced by Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Hoddle was unhappy with the approach he observed from Tim Sherwood.
Today, the Spurs boss returned fire:
“He is entitled to his opinion but it’s been a long time since Glenn Hoddle managed a football team and the game has moved on quite significantly,” said Tim Sherwood.
“That wouldn’t have been brought up if we had gone on to win the game.
“I’ve been a pundit myself and it’s easy to pick up on things when you have nothing else to talk about other than to be critical about your ex-side.”
HA HA HA. Well played Tim Sherwood, well played.
