The January transfer window is still a ways off, but it’s not too early to start talking about potential moves. day’s juiciest transfer rumor involves Real Madrid playmaker Isco, who has a very high transfer market valuation. Just days before the summer transfer window closed, we heard that Tottenham Hotspur were keen to make a move on Isco.
Spurs were reportedly hoping to land the attacking midfielder on a permanent basis next summer if a temporary loan move now was successful.
Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Real Madrid playmaker Isco in January or next summer, a source has told ESPN FC…on Thursday a source said the club were monitoring the 24-year-old Spain international’s situation at the Bernabeu.
A loan deal in January that includes the option of a permanent deal next summer is a possible scenario.
From a Tottenham perspective, Isco brings European experience and adds depth to a side that will now deal with the added workload of playing in the UEFA Champions League. From Real’s perspective, it sounds just like a numbers game- too many players for too few spots.
Real Madrid club President Floretino Perez reportedly wants to keep James Rodriguez, having supposedly blocked the player’s potential move to Chelsea, so it’s Isco who thus becomes expendable. It’s also been reported that Chelsea could be interested in Isco as well; and thus could provide competition to White Hart Lane for his services.
