It’s difficult to think of Tottenham Hotspur as a team that’s “hated,” but the findings of a poll today released today indicate that Tottenham is actually more hated than fellow London club Arsenal. Given the Europa League mediocrity we’ve seen in recent years, and their status as the “alternative” Premier League club for “hipsters” stateside, I just don’t see it.
Yet here there are, among Barclay’s Premier League sides, Tottenham Hotspur is the fifth most despised. At least according to one pool of fan opinion data. And in this table, they once again finish outside the top four; just like in the real standings.
The Daily Mirror did a survey and they published their findings today. Behold the “Table of most hated clubs.”
Club | Average of percentages
Man Utd | 68
Chelsea | 65
Liverpool | 60
Man City | 53
Tottenham Hotspur| 46
Arsenal | 41
