Tottenham Hotspur have decided to send winger Nacer Chadli out on loan this season to West Bromwich Albion. While Spurs gave their fans of the most exciting seasons that White Hart Lane has seen in quite some time, Chadli wasn’t much a part of it. He fell out of favor with manager Mauricio Pochettino this season, failing to even make the bench in any of Spurs first three fixtures this year.
It didn’t help that he missed some time last year after suffering ankle ligament damage in October. Now Chadli is off to get more playing time and seasoning with the Baggies.
Spurs paid £7 million to sign Chadli from FC Twente three years ago when he was one of the seven players to arrive after the club sold Gareth Bale to Real Madrid for a then-world record £86m in July 2013.
The 27-year-old has made 119 appearances during his three seasons in North London and managed 25 goals, including 15 in the Premier League, during that time span.
