NBC and the Topps Company joined forces to create trading cards of NBC Sports’ Premier League commentators and personalities. Leading up to the Premier League season, bars in select markets across the country will receive “Season Starter Kits” including Topps trading cards for lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White, Premier League Live host Rebecca Lowe, analysts Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino, and Robbie Mustoe, and “football coach” Ted Lasso.
These limited edition “Season Starter Kits” also include select cards from Topps’ 2013 Premier League set featuring a special selection of Premier League stars.
After being fired by Tottenham Hotspur, fictional Coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) is back in the US-of-A, looking to make the most of his Premier League experience. Now he’s relegated to coaching a girls youth team, even though Ted Lasso has no idea what relegation means.
He does understand one of the most important rules of being a Premier League power though- being sponsored by a Middle Eastern airline.
