Tottenham Hotspur are currently five points behind table toppers Leicester City with just nine games left to play. Today’s fixture is against lowly Aston Villa. The Villans are destined for relegation. They are dead last with a bullet, and will inevitably be dropped. Easy three points for Tottenham, right?
Not so fast. Star midfielder Dele Alli says the team needs to be on their guard against a potential upset.

“We’ve seen there have been a lot of upsets and we’ve just got to make sure this isn’t one of them,” the 19-year-old said. “It’s important that we stay focused, we go out there and we stick to the game plan and try to get the three points.”
Dele Alli urges his team to not let up, show no mercy, and step on their opponents’ throats.
“Everyone knows they’ve got some great players and I think it’s a shock to everyone where they are in the league,” he said.
“That’s why it’s important we don’t take anything for granted. We realise they have got a threat and we need to just make sure that we’re staying switched on at all times.
“They are going to be fighting every minute like their lives depend on it and it’s important that we go out there and we stick to the game plan.”
“We need to make sure we kill them off and just keep trying to get as many goals as we can.”
