The North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur was a riveting, entertaining battle that ended in a 2-2 draw. On the pitch it was class, off the pitch, a totally different story.
This is shocking, disturbing and highly offensive. A group of Arsenal supporters chanting, singing and shouting Anti-Semitic remarks at Tottenham supporters on the London underground.
The footage was filmed by a disgusted fellow passenger and in it the group of men and one woman, wearing a red Arsenal scarf, can be heard chanting: ‘I’ve got foreskin [muffled] f*** the Jews.’
The ugly, deplorable scene happens just a year and about a month after the infamous Paris metro incident, which also involved supporters from a giant London club. Chelsea fans sang “we’re racist, we’re racist, we’re racist and that’s the way we like it,” at a black man while prohibiting him from boarding the train.
No matter what club you support, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, there’s never ever any cause or justification for this.
