Zlatan Says He Feels the Pressure to Win Trophies at United is 24/7

Finishing in the top four should be Manchester United‘s main goal this season. They have two routes to get there- winning the UEFA Europa League or finishing in the top four. Which is the easier or better path? you can debate that in the comments section. The Red Devils, currently in sixth place, will host Watford tomorrow in Premier League play. MUFC are just two points off the top four right now.

United will also host Saint-Etienne in that competition’s round of 32 on February 16th. They’ll travel to Blackburn Rovers for the FA Cup fifth round on February 19th. February 26th brings the EFL Cup Final against Southampton at Wembley Stadium.

Manchester United currently have four different competitions on their collective docket right now. In three weeks, they’ll be down to three and most likely with a new, but minor trophy.

They currently hold the FA Cup title from last year, how motivated are they in repeating? Surely, one of the two routes to the top four is infinitely more important, but which one? Old Trafford must prioritize.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he feels the pressure to win trophies at United 24/7.

“If you present a top club like Manchester United that has a great history, a great character you feel the pressure because you have to keep up the rhythm of the club and keep making history,” he said.

“At a top club like Manchester [United] the pressure is 24 hours,” Zlatan concluded.

Teammate Ashley Young is very confident the club will finish the season with at least one trophy.

“There’s plenty to play for,” he said. “I think we’re going in the right direction, everyone is pulling in the right direction.”

“Everyone has got that will to win, that hunger to win and achieve. You want to be successful so being involved in four competitions I’m sure there is going to be one piece of silverware, at least.”
