Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell Wilfried Zaha for just £7 million, less than two years after signing him from Crystal Palace. . As we profiled yesterday, Van Gaal is probably very interested in selling Zaha and total flop Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian bought by David Moyes, the only purchase he made in last summer’s transfer window, is emblematic of the failure of the Moyes era.
And the Sunday People claims that Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is eyeing a move for Zaha.
Interesting take on this possible sale from Here is the City. They believe that selling Zaha is the wrong thing to do.
“Prior to his move to Old Trafford Zaha was hailed as one of English football’s most promising young talents, and his performances for the Eagles backed up those claims. Even during his first pre-season at United he continued to show what all the fuss was about with some exciting performances. He may not have lived up to the somewhat unrealistic belief of some that he would follow the path of another unpredictable young winger Cristiano Ronaldo, but that does not mean his time at United should be written off as irretrievable.”
