Very quick turnaround as it’s Manchester United starting XI time again. Fresh off Thursday night’s 4-0 rout of Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Europa League at home, the Red Devils have a Sunday Premier League clash with West Ham at Old Trafford. The Hammers are having a dreadful season, hovering way too close to the relegation zone for a team of their size and history.
The, just three days after this contest, it’s United versus Hammers again, this time in the Football League Cup Quarter-Final.
One of the main story lines here is Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and his potential for increased opportunities. Manager Jose Mourinho said before Thursday that the Armenian could see some time, and then he was handed a start. Mourinho said Mkhitaryan could now see some opportunities in the Premier League going forward.
Hence we included him.
Here’s our predicted Manchester United Starting XI vs West Ham
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Henrikh Mkhitaryan Wayne Rooney Juan Mata
Paul Pogba Ander Herrera
Luke Shaw Marcos Rojo Phil Jones Antonio Valencia
David de Gea
